All the things we have taken for granted are no longer available to us temporarily, such as gyms, classes, hair salons, beauty treatments, restaurants, coffee shops, venues, events...the list goes on. 
As adults, we are more adaptable, given our logical reasoning which allows us to conclude that this challenge is a temporary one, however alarming and at times frustrating this situation can be.

Taking tests is an integral part of life. From an early age, we’re expected to take tests in schools to assess our understanding, awareness and levels of performance for many subjects, be it academic, sports, vocational, extra curricular activities or pastimes, the subjects can be endless.

When it comes to our children having to take tests, it can be a daunting experience for them (and us).

The thought and prospect of taking tests is usually met with a sense of dread, anxiety and fear for most.

Studies reveal we learn behaviours of fear, dread and anxiety from others; for instance, there comes a time during the first few years at school where the teacher announces at some point that imminently there will be tests, the atmosphere in the classroom can change due to the reactions of some pupils, having a knock on effect on most.

That experience when we are made to stand up and spell in front of the class can affect us negatively when we make spelling errors or forget what we are meant…

One of the biggest issues with parenting in the early stages tends to be about the subject of sleep. If your child’s not sleeping then you don’t get to either, most of the time.

Ok this is an intense subject; there are many how’s and how nots regarding what to do for the best, taking into consideration the fact that every child is different.

Few babies sleep through the night right away. For the first few months, they tend to sleep intermittently for roughly about 12 to 18 hours a day. By the time they reach 9 months, a sleeping pattern has usually developed even though that might only be about 5-6 hours straight.

Children's Imagination Is Important. Why We Should Be Encouraging Its Development!

Children are the most successful in using their imagination. Just like when they play-act, where they pretend to have attitudes or feelings that they don’t really have..the imagination kicks in and suddenly there’s a scenario where they’ve got their toys or an item of any description with them, they possibly even assume a character, some children even turn themselves into aeroplanes, machines or robots..the list is endless, just like imagination. The scene actually comes to life in their eyes; where that doll or toy is literally having a real experience, and the child is sharing that experience too.

To a child, there is no middle ground, it’s either black or white and literal. Things are either right or wrong, good or bad, cool or not cool, funny or not funny, nice or not nice. Obviously, that changes over time, and it’s not easy to pinpoint exactly when the change takes place but it’s usually around the age of 5, that’s when they start reasoning emotionally too.
